Regardless of the type of organization, the number of "things"
or "stuff" to be stored just keep on growing - keeps on taking
up valuable and costly floor space. As the volume of "stuff"
grows, organizing, storing and finding it becomes a bigger problem
- and a greater expense!

Mobile System with one aisle open |
|
Today there is a solution - Movable Shelving! Shelving, rack,
cabinets, or even your unique storage equipment is mounted on
bases with wheels.
Rails are laid and leveled. The bases move over the tracks to
close unneeded aisles saving valuable and costly floor space. |
Systems can be designed to move manually, mechanically or electrically
depending on the number of sections to be moved, the weight
and user preference.
|
Figure 1 demonstrates how aisles can be closed
to
free up space for other uses.

Figure 2 demonstrates how space saved can be
used to
increase storage capacity.

Lateral Mobile System
|
When your filing capacity needs to increase,
yet floor space is critically limited, a lateral mobile system may be the solution.
With a lateral movable system, the rear cabinets are stationary, and with one less
cabinet in the front, the front cabinets slide side to side for easy access to the
rear cabinets. A lateral movable system is available in all sizes and configurations accommodating letter, legal,
X-ray, and more!
Lateral movable systems work wonders in many different areas:
|
- Front Office Filing
- Active File Rooms
- Libraries
- Retail Storage
- Industrial Storage
|
|
|
Systems may be configured as either a
Bi-File or Tri-File. In the Bi-File, there is a stationary row of
shelving sections with a single row of movable sections in front.
A Tri-File configuration has a single row of fixed shelving sections
with two rows of movable sections in front. A Bi-File configuration
with letter size shelving, requires only 26" of depth for installation.
The movable sections are rolled on a high quality track & carriage system,
that has been designed for long convenient service.

Whether your requirements call for an economical "barebones"
system, one in keeping with the finest office décor, or anything
in between, SBS has the personnel, knowledge and expertise to
furnish you with professionally designed layouts and configurations
in keeping with your special storage and retrieval needs.
